Selene Bathory

Current Residence: Town of St. Zavier, in a cottage just outside of the cathedral.

Selene mysteriously showed up at the doorstep to St. Zavier’s Cathedral on a stormy night, heavily injured, requesting lodging and promising to work to make up for it. Father Derik took her in and tended to her wounds, but Selene would not reveal why she was so far from the Elves’ Kingdom of Halcyon or how she was injured. In the year since then, Selene has built her own cottage outside of the Cathedral, and has made a name for herself roaming the countryside hunting monsters.
Selene typically keeps to herself, and is very secretive about her past. She doesn’t get along well with others and prefers to work alone. The only thing that seems to make her happy is killing monsters.
Ultimately, Selene hunts monsters as a self-induced penance for a past sin, one that is ultimately going to catch up with her and set her off on her journey. Her motivation is finding self-forgiveness.
