While the very obvious physical characteristics of Ivy intrigue me, her backstory also is one I find fascinating. She is essentially a byproduct of Soul Edge. What kind of an impact does this revelation have on a person, that they've got something sinister inside of them that they can never get away from, because it is woven into the very fabric of their existence? Ivy saw fit to cut off all relationships with others, effectively becoming chaste, in order to prevent the possibility of spreading the demonic blood to others. Perhaps the very possibility of a relationship with someone, physical or otherwise, is something that she therefore fears above all else?

Also, is it just me or do tentacles and Ivy go together like Peanut Butter and Chocolate?

...perhaps the explanation lies not in the psyche of a character, or in the conundrums of Philosophy...but in the possibility that I'm just a pretentious perv.
